Winds calm in the morning, picking up to 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Travelers along Highway 101 through Eureka and Arcata can expect improved visibility and dry pavement — a welcome change after persistent overcast conditions.
Friday continues the trend, with partly sunny skies and temperatures hovering near 58°F. A high near 60°F arrives Saturday, when mostly sunny skies will offer the first true hint of summer for coastal Humboldt County. Winds will stay light and conditions favorable for outdoor events and travel.
