Los Angeles, CA – The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for parts of the Central Coast and inland valleys, in effect from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday.

The advisory covers San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, and the Santa Ynez Valley, including cities such as Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Paso Robles, Buellton, and Solvang.

According to the NWS, visibility may drop to one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, especially near the coast and in low-lying valleys. The conditions could make driving hazardous, particularly on Highways 101, 1, and 154, where pockets of thick fog are likely.

Motorists are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain safe distances while traveling early Saturday morning. Fog is expected to lift gradually by late morning as temperatures rise and winds increase.

Residents and commuters can check weather.gov/LosAngeles for the latest updates and real-time visibility reports.
