Hanford, California – Hanford residents can expect rising heat through midweek, with temperatures soaring toward 99°F by Thursday, just in time for Juneteenth celebrations. The National Weather Service warns that dry, breezy conditions could increase fire danger and heat-related health risks by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service Hanford Office, Tuesday’s high will hit 94°F under clear skies, climbing to 98°F Wednesday and peaking near 99°F on Thursday. Winds from the northwest may gust up to 20 mph, especially at night, compounding the dryness across Kings County and surrounding Central Valley areas.

By Wednesday night, conditions will stay clear with lows near 67°F. With triple-digit temperatures just shy of reality, residents should limit outdoor activity, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable populations. If you’re planning Juneteenth travel or events, avoid peak afternoon hours and use shade or air conditioning when possible.

No cooling centers have been activated yet, but residents should monitor updates from Kings County Public Health and CalFire for fire risk alerts. Expect clear skies through the weekend, though slight cooling may arrive by Sunday.
