San Francisco, California – Minor flooding could disrupt coastal roads and parks around San Francisco Bay late Monday and into early Tuesday morning, triggering a travel advisory for Bay Area residents.
According to the National Weather Service, a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 8 p.m. Monday to 1 a.m. Tuesday, with nocturnal high tide expected to cause minor flooding along low-lying shorelines and bayside infrastructure. Locations along San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay, including areas near Interstate 880, are at risk. High tide is forecast to reach 7.03 feet at 10:08 p.m. Monday, increasing the threat to lots, parks, and some roads.
While widespread closures aren’t expected, isolated flood-prone streets could become impassable. Drivers are urged to avoid flooded roads and heed barricades. Residents should also take steps to safeguard property in vulnerable areas.
Despite the brief flood risk, weather clears by Tuesday with partly sunny skies and highs near 63°F. Winds could reach 13 mph with gusts up to 18 mph. The week continues with gradual warming and sunshine, providing some early summer stability for outdoor plans.
