San Francisco, CA – Bay Area residents will wake up to spring sunshine and nearly 80°F highs in San Francisco this weekend, but patchy fog could complicate Monday morning commutes.
According to the National Weather Service, clear skies and a warm-up continue into Sunday with a high near 69°F and light winds, but fog returns early Monday before clearing to reveal a sunny afternoon with highs soaring to 78°F. Drivers using U.S. 101 and I-280 should use caution from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday due to low visibility.
The five-day spring outlook brings comfortable warmth and mostly clear skies. Tuesday sees a high of 76°F and sunshine, followed by a cooler trend starting Wednesday with a slight chance of rain after 11 a.m. and a high of 65°F. Thursday and Friday remain partly sunny with highs near 61°F and 62°F respectively.
Overnight lows will hover in the low 50s through midweek. Winds remain light throughout the week, though westerly gusts may increase in the evenings, especially along the coast.
Residents are encouraged to check local weather alerts and visibility conditions before traveling Monday morning. Keep sunglasses and layered clothing handy as spring mornings start cool but warm up rapidly.
This week’s weather marks a pleasant break from San Francisco’s typically fog-laden March, offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities and travel across the Bay Area.
