Sacramento, CA – A significant heatwave is set to hit Sacramento this week, with temperatures expected to climb into the triple digits. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts temperatures to reach a peak of 105 degrees by Thursday. The heatwave will begin Tuesday, with highs hitting 100 degrees, followed by a steady rise throughout the week.
According to the NWS, this heatwave will push temperatures “above normal” territory, with daytime highs expected to exceed 100 degrees through Friday. Overnight lows will offer little relief, hovering between 64 and 72 degrees. Residents should prepare for potentially dangerous heat conditions.
To mitigate the risks, the NWS advises residents to practice heat safety by staying hydrated and avoiding outdoor activities during peak heat hours. Cooler temperatures are expected to arrive by the weekend, but until then, Sacramento is in for several hot and challenging days.
