San Francisco, CA – Bay Area residents should prepare for freezing temperatures tonight, as a cold front pushes lows below 32°F in several areas.

According to the National Weather Service, a Freeze Warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday for inland valleys and higher elevations. Frost formation is likely in low-lying areas, posing risks to plants, pets, and outdoor pipes. Residents should cover sensitive vegetation and bring pets indoors.

Wednesday will see mostly sunny skies, with a high near 57°F, but the cold returns Wednesday night with lows in the mid-40s. Thursday will be partly sunny, with a high near 56°F, before rain chances increase heading into the weekend.

Friday brings a 70% chance of rain, with highs in the upper 50s, and showers will likely continue through Monday. Motorists should prepare for wet roads and changing conditions.

The cold snap and incoming rain could impact commutes and outdoor plans, so residents should stay updated on forecasts. Keep an eye on frost-prone areas tonight and prepare for a chilly but mostly dry midweek before rain arrives Friday.
