Hanford, CA – A freeze warning remains in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday as temperatures dip to near 30 degrees, threatening crops and outdoor plants. Residents are urged to take precautions to protect sensitive vegetation, pets, and exposed plumbing.
According to the National Weather Service, patchy frost will persist early Thursday morning before temperatures rise under sunny skies, reaching a high near 60 degrees. Winds will remain calm throughout the day. Another cold night follows, with lows around 37 degrees and more frost expected.
By Friday, Hanford will see partly sunny skies with highs near 62 degrees. A warming trend begins Saturday, with highs reaching 65, but rain chances increase to 40%. Saturday night brings a 50% chance of rain, with lows near 51. Sunday sees temperatures climb to 71, with lingering rain showers possible.
Residents should cover plants and bring pets inside overnight. Farmers and gardeners should take extra precautions to prevent frost damage. Warmer temperatures return next week, but rain could linger into Monday night.
