Sacramento, CA – A flash flood warning remains in effect for Tehama County’s Park Fire burn scar until 5:45 a.m. Tuesday. Heavy rainfall has raised the risk of debris flows, impacting areas like Paynes Creek, Mill Creek, and Rock Creek.

The National Weather Service (NWS) warns residents to expect up to 1.5 inches of rain per hour, increasing the likelihood of rock, mud, and vegetation debris moving rapidly downstream. Officials urge those near the burn scar to prepare for potential evacuations if conditions worsen.

A gradual clearing is forecast later Tuesday, with Sacramento expected to see partly sunny skies by Christmas Day. Temperatures will reach 58 degrees Tuesday, dropping to a cool 41 overnight. Winds will remain calm but could pick up briefly in the region affected by the storm.

Looking ahead, the extended forecast shows mostly cloudy skies through Friday, with highs in the mid-50s and overnight lows around 50. A warming trend may bring temperatures back to 59 degrees by Saturday, offering milder conditions for holiday travel.

Drivers in affected areas, particularly along State Route 36, should remain vigilant for debris and flooded roads. Residents should monitor alerts from the NWS and local emergency services for updates.
