Los Angeles, Calif. – Morning fog and cloudy nights will keep Los Angeles in a daily cycle of gray skies before sunshine returns each afternoon through early next week, with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s by Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Oxnard, Friday will start cloudy before gradual clearing pushes highs near 79. Winds could gust up to 15 mph by the afternoon, especially in coastal and valley areas. Patchy fog is expected to return overnight and continue into Saturday morning.
Downtown Los Angeles, East L.A., and the San Fernando Valley will see highs between 80 and 83 this weekend once the morning marine layer clears. Coastal cities like Santa Monica and Long Beach may hold slightly cooler, staying in the upper 70s. Motorists traveling along the 10 and 405 freeways during early hours should anticipate reduced visibility due to fog.
The warmest stretch is set for Monday and Tuesday, with inland neighborhoods such as Pasadena and Burbank reaching 84 to 86 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Health officials advise staying hydrated and limiting outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat.
Patchy fog is forecast to return nightly, but afternoons will remain dry and sunny. This pattern holds through at least Wednesday, when another round of morning fog is expected.
