LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Patchy morning fog will continue to roll through the Los Angeles Basin this weekend before giving way to warm, sunny afternoons, keeping the region in a steady early-fall pattern. Drivers in East L.A. and coastal areas may face reduced visibility during the morning commute through Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Oxnard, light winds and persistent marine layer conditions will dominate overnight and early mornings, followed by clearing skies and highs in the upper 70s each afternoon. Lows will stay near 58 to 60 degrees across downtown and surrounding valleys.

Residents along the I-10 and I-5 corridors should allow extra time for travel during early hours when fog is most dense. Winds remain light, but shifting southwest breezes could briefly clear skies faster in inland communities like Pasadena and Glendale.

Temperatures will stay mild through early next week, with only slight warming expected by midweek. The marine layer is forecast to hold through at least Wednesday morning, keeping humidity high overnight.
