Calhoun, Michigan Flood Warning: St. Joseph River to Crest Above Flood Stage

Calhoun, MI – A flood warning is in effect from early this morning until Saturday morning for the St. Joseph River at Burlington, Calhoun County.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, MI, the river reached the flood stage of 6.5 feet as of 5:00 AM EDT Friday and is expected to crest just above this level later today. Minor flooding of crawl spaces in homes near the river is anticipated.

The river is forecast to recede to 4.4 feet by Thursday evening. Residents are advised to avoid flooded roads and use caution in affected areas. More information can be found at weather.gov/grr.
