Calhoun County, MI – Waterfall Tragedy: Body Found in River

Albion, MI – Authorities discovered a body in the river at the waterfall near Haven Road on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Albion Department of Public Safety (ADPS), officers responded to a call at 1:30 PM regarding a possible body in the river. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the presence of a body. 

Multiple agencies, including the Marshall Fire Department, Sheridan Township Fire Department, Calhoun County Dive Team, Albion Township Fire Department, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, and the Michigan State Police, collaborated in the recovery effort.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined. The body was turned over to the Calhoun County Medical Examiner for further investigation. Authorities are seeking assistance from the public to gather more information.
