According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at approximately 9:30 a.m. on February 19 at a residence in the 24000 block of H Drive North.

The investigation began Tuesday, February 18, after authorities received a Silent Observer tip regarding the number of dogs living at the property. During the initial inquiry, deputies reportedly observed concerning living conditions. Based on those observations, investigators obtained and carried out a search warrant the following morning.

As a result of the warrant, 61 dogs were removed from the residence and transported to the Calhoun County Animal Shelter for evaluation and care.
