BURLINGTON, Vt. – A few spotty showers could dampen parts of Vermont this afternoon before skies clear for a stretch of sunny, dry weather through early next week. Highs today will reach the mid-70s, but most rainfall amounts will remain under a tenth of an inch.

According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, rain chances are highest after 2 p.m. Friday, with clearing skies expected by evening. Winds will remain light and variable before shifting north overnight. Lows will dip into the low 50s.

Saturday brings a return to mostly sunny conditions with highs in the low 70s. Winds will stay light, making for ideal conditions for outdoor events across Chittenden County and northern Vermont.
