Burlington, VT – A mild and unsettled stretch of weather is on the way for northern Vermont to start the week, according to the National Weather Service in Burlington. After a calm and partly cloudy Sunday, rain and milder temperatures arrive Monday before a sharp cooldown on Tuesday.
Forecasters say highs Sunday will range from the mid-40s to low 50s, with skies clearing by sunset and overnight lows dipping into the 20s and 30s. Conditions change quickly Monday as clouds increase and showers develop by afternoon, bringing a brief surge of warmth — daytime highs could climb into the upper 50s and low 60s.
By Tuesday, a cold front sweeps through the region, ushering in sunny but blustery and cooler weather. Highs will settle in the mid-40s to mid-50s, with lows dropping into the 30s by nightfall.
While no major storms are expected, forecasters recommend keeping an umbrella handy for the Monday system and preparing for gusty winds and cooler air by Tuesday.
