Burlington, VT – Vermont will see a shift from quiet weather to a wet and colder pattern this weekend as a new storm system moves through, according to the National Weather Service in Burlington.
Forecasters say today will remain mostly dry aside from a few morning snow showers in the higher terrain. By Friday afternoon, rain will develop from west to east, lasting into Saturday morning before a brief lull in activity.
Another round of rain and mountain snow is expected Sunday into Monday, with snow levels dropping enough to possibly reach the valley floors by early Monday. Highs through the weekend will range from the mid-40s to upper 50s, before dipping into the 30s to start next week.
Travelers in the Green Mountains should be prepared for changing road conditions, especially late Sunday and Monday as temperatures fall.
