Burlington, VT – A weak trough is moving across Vermont today, bringing scattered showers and noticeably cooler temperatures across the region, according to the National Weather Service in Burlington.
Forecasters say highs will remain in the upper 40s to low 50s, running near to slightly below seasonal averages. Light rain is expected in most areas, with more numerous showers developing across higher elevations of the Green Mountains.
While rainfall will generally be light, the cool and damp conditions will continue into the weekend, with temperatures trending even lower by Saturday and Sunday. Skies are expected to gradually clear early next week as a drier air mass moves in from the west.
Travelers and outdoor enthusiasts should plan for wet roads and chilly conditions, especially in elevated areas where temperatures will feel closer to the mid-40s.
