Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service in Buffalo reports that light lake-enhanced snow will develop across portions of western and central New York today, gradually shifting southeastward as a cold front moves through tonight.
Snow is expected to begin northeast of Lakes Erie and Ontario, expanding east and southeast through the afternoon and evening. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are likely, with localized totals near 3 inches in favored lake-effect areas such as Buffalo, Watertown, and Pulaski.
Roads may become slick in spots, particularly on untreated or elevated surfaces. Visibility could briefly decrease during heavier snow bursts.
The cold front will bring colder and breezier conditions tonight, before snow tapers off by early Sunday morning.
