Buffalo, NY – Residents of Buffalo and surrounding areas should prepare for strong thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The US National Weather Service Buffalo NY has issued a severe weather outlook for Monday warning of damaging wind gusts over 60 mph and heavy downpours.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms are expected to impact the region in waves, starting from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The primary risk associated with these storms includes high winds, which can cause damage to structures and power lines. Residents are advised to move to sturdy shelters and stay away from windows when thunderstorms approach.

The weather forecast for the week indicates fluctuating conditions. On Tuesday, temperatures will range from 72°F to 81°F with a 65% chance of rain. Wednesday will see a drop in temperatures to a high of 67°F and a low of 79°F with sunny conditions. The trend continues on Thursday and Friday, with highs around 61°F and 58°F respectively, under mostly sunny skies.

Over the weekend, temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 61°F on Saturday and 63°F on Sunday. Both days are expected to be sunny, providing a respite from the stormy start to the week.
