Buffalo, NY – Western New York drivers are urged to prepare for dangerous travel conditions tonight as a winter storm brings 4 to 7 inches of snow to Chautauqua County, with the heaviest accumulations expected across the Chautauqua Ridge.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday through 1 p.m. Monday, with the most intense snowfall expected overnight. The Jamestown area and higher terrain will likely see the greatest totals before snow tapers off Monday afternoon.
Forecasters warn that Monday morning’s commute could be very difficult, with snow-covered roads and limited visibility expected across much of the county. Winds and steady snowfall will reduce visibility and increase the risk of spinouts and travel delays on major routes.
Residents are urged to slow down, allow extra travel time, and use caution if driving tonight or Monday morning. Snow reports can be submitted through the National Weather Service Buffalo website or shared via their social media channels.
