Buffalo, NY – Residents across Western New York can expect a chilly night ahead as November begins, with overnight temperatures dipping into the low to mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service Buffalo.

Forecasters said a few nuisance lake-effect rain showers may develop east and southeast of Lakes Erie and Ontario this evening, but most areas will remain largely dry. Skies are expected to clear overnight, contributing to below-normal low temperatures for this time of year.

Cities including Buffalo, Batavia, and Jamestown are forecast to see lows between 33°F and 37°F, while parts of the North Country could drop near or just below freezing. Light winds and clearing conditions may lead to patchy frost in some rural areas early Sunday morning.

While no weather advisories are currently in effect, officials encourage residents to bundle up and protect sensitive plants or outdoor items from potential frost.
