BUFFALO, NY – As the weekend continues, Western New York residents will experience mostly dry weather, but scattered showers will briefly impact the region. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain well below normal for the start of June, with highs only reaching the mid-50s to low 60s in some areas.
Tonight, the last of the showers will move out of the North Country, with dry conditions expected across Buffalo and surrounding areas. Lows will drop to between 41°F and 46°F. The brief wet period will taper off, but cooler-than-usual temperatures are expected to remain.
Sunday’s forecast shows a slight chance for more showers, especially to the south of Lake Ontario in the afternoon. Despite these isolated showers, much of the region will stay dry throughout the day. Expect daytime highs between 55°F and 61°F, making it feel more like late spring rather than the start of summer.
By Sunday night, any lingering showers across the North Country will move out, leaving dry conditions for the rest of the region. Overnight lows will once again dip into the low to mid-40s.
With temperatures remaining on the cooler side, residents are advised to dress in layers and prepare for a mild, but occasionally damp weekend. While the weather will be manageable for outdoor activities, it’s a good idea to have an umbrella on hand in case the showers pop up unexpectedly.
