Brownsburg, IN – The intersection of Main Street (U.S. 136) and Green Street (State Road 267) is closing for utility work starting today, Oct. 21. Commuters should expect delays and detours as crews work to upgrade the utility infrastructure in the area.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the closure will last several days as work continues. In addition to the intersection closure, crews will be working in the right lane of Green Street, which may also slow traffic. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes during the project to avoid congestion.
The utility work is necessary to maintain and improve essential services in the area. INDOT advises drivers to plan ahead and exercise caution when traveling near the work zone. The department has not yet provided an official end date for the roadwork, but updates will be posted on its website.
