Victoria, BC – A wet and windy stretch has returned to southern British Columbia, with Victoria bracing for multiple days of rain and wind gusts reaching up to 50 km/h through the start of next week.

According to Environment Canada, a few early-morning showers will taper off Thursday, followed by mostly cloudy skies and sustained southeast winds gusting between 30 and 50 km/h. Showers are expected to resume overnight, with similar gusty conditions continuing into Friday.

Friday through Monday will bring daily highs of around 12°C, accompanied by a 30 to 60 percent chance of showers each day. Saturday and Monday are forecast to be the wettest, with Monday seeing the highest likelihood of rain and stronger wind gusts.

Sunday is expected to bring a brief break in the gloomy pattern, with sunny skies and a high of 13°C, before clouds and precipitation return Monday evening.

Winds remain a key concern, with gusts strong enough to cause minor travel disruptions, especially for high-profile vehicles on open roadways or bridges. Residents should secure outdoor items and prepare for intermittent wet commutes.

This weather pattern is typical for late March in Victoria but may still pose localized hazards. Drivers are urged to use caution, and residents should monitor alerts for updated forecasts through early next week.
