The substance field-tested positive for cocaine, prompting the deputy to detain the driver.
As the search continued, deputies say they found a cigarette pack in Gueorguiev’s pocket containing another baggie—this one filled with fentanyl. The substance weighed approximately 8.8 grams, which authorities note is a trafficking amount capable of causing thousands of lethal overdoses if improperly handled or distributed.
