According to Sheriff Frederick A. Blankenship, deputies with the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside officers from the Coldwater Police Department, carried out three search warrants during the early morning hours of Saturday, December 13, 2025, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The search warrants were executed at three locations: the 400 block of East Chicago Street, the 100 block of Smith Street, and the 100 block of West Colon Road, all within the Coldwater area in Branch County, which is located in southern Michigan near the Indiana border.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, additional charges are being sought against several other individuals in connection with the case. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
