Authorities said the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m. on October 22, 2025, near the intersection of Central Road and Bennett Road.
According to Sheriff Frederick A. Blankenship, the bus—operated by a driver for Pansophia Academy—was traveling eastbound on Central Road when the driver attempted to give additional space for oncoming traffic. The vehicle then left the roadway, entered a ditch, and collided with a guardrail.
At the time of the crash, the bus was carrying the driver and four students. All passengers were evaluated and treated on scene by Lifecare Ambulance personnel and the Quincy Fire Department.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Quincy Police Department, Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division, Branch County Road Commission, Lifecare Ambulance, and Quincy Fire Department.
