Cleveland, Tennessee — A community blood drive is scheduled Monday at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, aiming to boost regional blood supplies and support local hospitals.

According to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, the event will be held Monday, Feb. 9, from noon to 4 p.m. at the sheriff’s office, located at 2290 Blythe Avenue SE in Cleveland. The Blood Assurance Mobile Donation Center will be stationed near the entrance to the Judicial Complex to collect donations.

Officials said the drive is open to the public, and both scheduled appointments and walk-in donors will be accepted throughout the afternoon. Appointments can be made in advance through Blood Assurance, but organizers emphasized that same-day participation is welcome.

Blood Assurance, a regional nonprofit blood center, supplies blood products to hospitals across Tennessee and neighboring states. Donations collected during community drives are used to support trauma care, surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergency response needs.

The sheriff’s office said the partnership reflects an ongoing effort to support community health and public safety beyond traditional law enforcement roles. Each blood donation has the potential to help multiple patients in need.

As an added incentive, Blood Assurance noted that donors who give blood between Feb. 1 and Feb. 14 will receive a “Donor for Life” tattoo-style T-shirt, while supplies last.

The event may be especially relevant for commuters, students, and local workers who can donate during lunch hours or after morning shifts, as the drive is centrally located near downtown Cleveland.

Those planning to donate are encouraged to bring a valid photo ID and to eat and hydrate beforehand. Additional eligibility guidelines are available through Blood Assurance.
