Bow, NH – A statewide traffic enforcement effort on Interstate 93 led to the arrest of a Concord man Sunday morning after State Police say he was observed driving at 130 mph.

According to New Hampshire State Police, the Nov. 23 operation was conducted by the Special Enforcement Unit and Troop D using both ground units and the State Police aircraft. Over a three-hour period, troopers reportedly observed 40 violations, including 25 drivers traveling 90 mph or faster. Two drivers were also found to be operating with suspended licenses.

At 9:37 a.m., Sgt. Jay LaPointe, flying in the State Police aircraft, spotted a white vehicle traveling southbound at what officials described as an “extremely high rate of speed.” Police say Sgt. LaPointe measured the vehicle’s speed several times, recording a high of 130 mph before relaying the vehicle’s location to troopers on the ground.

Trooper Kosakowski then conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, identified as 22-year-old Logan Drew of Concord, for allegedly operating recklessly and driving while under suspension. According to officials, Drew is scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Friday, January 9, 2026.

State Police noted that penalties for driving recklessly at 100 mph or more include a minimum fine of $620 and a 60-day license suspension. Beginning January 1, 2026, those minimum penalties will increase to $930 and a 90-day suspension for first-time offenders.

As holiday travel ramps up, troopers are urging drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and expect stricter enforcement. Police say they will continue working with the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety to reduce crashes and improve road safety statewide.
