Bourbonnais, IL – Larry Power Road, located at E 4000 N Rd in Bourbonnais, will reopen on Wednesday, October 30, following extensive restoration work. The Village of Bourbonnais announced the reopening, which is set to take place by the end of the business day.
According to the Village of Bourbonnais, local traffic can continue accessing Larry Power Road from US Route 45 (N. Convent St.) and IL Route 50 (N. Kinzie Ave.). However, through access at the railroad crossing remains unavailable, impacting some drivers’ routes.
The Village has requested residents’ patience, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the roadwork. The village assured that they are also using the detour routes and empathize with residents facing delays.
This reopening marks the end of ongoing restoration efforts, which have aimed to improve road safety and infrastructure. Drivers should remain alert as some minor adjustments may continue near the railroad crossing area.
