The UpliftedCare Community Grief Center in Bourbonnais offers a wide range of weekly support groups designed to assist individuals at any stage of their grief journey. These services are provided free of charge, ensuring accessibility for all community members in need of support.
Mondays feature two sessions: Loss of a Parent at 10 a.m., which helps individuals cope with the unique challenges of losing a parent, and Finding Your New Normal at 10 a.m., offering guidance on adjusting to life after loss.
Tuesdays include Womens’ Talk & Tea at 10 a.m., fostering a supportive environment for women to share their grief experiences. Teens & Grief at 4 p.m. provides a space for teens to connect with peers facing similar emotions. Spousal Loss and Child Loss groups both meet at 6 p.m., addressing the specific grief associated with losing a spouse or child.
Wednesdays offer Sudden Loss at 10 a.m., focusing on coping with unexpected bereavements. Letting Go of Guilt meets at 6 p.m. to help individuals process feelings of guilt. On the third Wednesday of each month, Moving Through Grief Yoga at 10 a.m. combines physical activity with emotional healing, and Music & Memories at 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month uses music to facilitate remembrance and connection.
Thursdays include Men’s Coffee & Conversation at 10 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, offering a space for men to discuss their grief. First Responders meet at 6 p.m., providing support for those who face loss in their line of duty.
Fridays feature Child Loss at 10 a.m., providing a supportive community for those grieving the loss of a child.
