Bourbonnais, IL – The Bourbonnais Township Park District announced the winners of its annual Scarecrow Contest at Perry Farm, highlighting creativity and community spirit in both family and organizational entries.
In the Individual and Family category, the Luchessi Family took first place with a detailed “Freddy Luchessi’s Pizza Place” scarecrow display. The Gossett and Siebert Families earned second place for their “Hakuna Matata”-themed entry, while Sean Rooney took third place with a cheerful Hello Kitty-themed scarecrow.
For the People’s Choice Awards, ATI Physical Therapy claimed first place, followed by the Kankakee Kultivators Garden Club in second, and Illinois Mentor Community Services by Sevita Health taking third.
Park district officials thanked everyone who participated and encouraged visitors to stop by Perry Farm to view the scarecrows, which remain on display for the community.
“These displays show how much creativity and heart our community brings each year,” the district said in a statement. “We’re already looking forward to 2026!”
