Bourbonnais, IL – The Bourbonnais Public Library District is inviting the community to step into the Land of Oz next month for its first-ever Ozdust Ball, a Wizard of Oz–inspired celebration for adults. The event will be held Thursday, November 13, at 6 p.m. in the library’s White Oak Room.
According to the library’s release, attendees are encouraged to “click their heels three times and follow the Yellow Brick Road” for an evening filled with dancing, karaoke, and a dazzling costume contest. Guests can also enjoy Emerald City–worthy treats and must arrive by 7 p.m. to participate in the costume judging. Registration for the free event is available through the library’s website.
In addition to the ball, the library is also launching a month-long Reading Through Life: An Ozmopolitan Reading Challenge for adults. Running from November 1–30, participants can log their reading through the Beanstack app for chances to win Oz-inspired prizes. Readers can earn additional raffle entries by completing milestones, submitting book reviews, or engaging in related activities.
Both the Ozdust Ball and the Ozmopolitan Reading Challenge are free and open to the public. More details and registration links are available at bourbonnaislibrary.org.
