Boston, Mass. – A cool, partly cloudy Saturday will keep temperatures slightly below seasonal averages across eastern Massachusetts, but conditions are expected to turn warmer by Sunday with a chance of showers.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, overnight lows Friday into Saturday will range from the mid-40s to mid-50s with areas of patchy fog. Highs on Saturday are forecast to reach the low to upper 70s under partly sunny skies, though a stray afternoon shower could develop.

Sunday will bring a noticeable shift, with highs climbing into the mid-70s to near 80 across much of the state. Warmer air will also bring added moisture, leading to isolated to scattered showers during the afternoon and evening. Travel impacts should remain minor, but drivers are advised to watch for reduced visibility in fog overnight and slick roads if showers develop.

The warming trend will carry into early next week, though unsettled weather may linger. Additional advisories are possible if showers become more widespread.
