Boston, Mass. – Temperatures are on the rise across Massachusetts this week, with highs expected to reach the mid-80s in some areas by Wednesday. Mostly dry conditions will dominate early in the week, but spotty showers could dampen parts of the state by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service Boston, partly sunny skies will hold through Tuesday with highs in the low to mid-70s. A few light showers may pass through late Tuesday into Wednesday as clouds increase. Wednesday will be the warmest day so far this June, with temperatures climbing to 85°F in Boston, 84°F in Worcester, and near 80°F along Cape Cod.

Drivers may want to keep umbrellas handy Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday, especially during commutes. While no major flooding is expected, brief showers could slow down traffic on I-93, Route 2, and the Mass Pike. Air conditioners may also get their first true test of the season by midweek.

Those planning outdoor activities should aim for Monday or early Tuesday, with increasing humidity and clouds likely late Tuesday onward. The warming trend continues into Thursday before a cooler pattern may arrive Friday.

⚠️ Stay weather-aware: Additional updates and possible advisories could be issued by Wednesday morning.
