Boston, MA – A chilly morning will give way to a milder, breezy Friday across Massachusetts before a round of rain moves in tonight.
According to the US National Weather Service Boston, temperatures will climb into the upper 50s to near 60°F, which is slightly above normal for early November. Southwest winds gusting up to 25 mph will develop through the afternoon, bringing increasing cloud cover across the region.
Rain is expected to arrive before midnight north and west of I-95, spreading east after midnight and continuing into early Saturday morning, particularly for Cape Cod and the Islands. Forecasters expect only light rainfall amounts, but wet roads could slow early travel Saturday morning.
Skies will gradually clear later in the weekend as cooler, drier air moves in behind the departing system. Overall, the brief rain event will mark a mild end to the week before more typical fall temperatures return next week.
