Boston, MA – Dry and unseasonably cold weather continues across eastern Massachusetts Tuesday, with highs only reaching the upper 20s to lower 30s, according to the National Weather Service in Boston/Norton.

A brief round of light snow showers is expected late Tuesday night, producing a dusting to less than 1 inch of accumulation for most areas. By Wednesday, conditions turn much milder, with highs climbing into the 40s to near 50°F along the coast and Cape Cod/Islands.

Rain will spread across the region Wednesday afternoon and evening, though the higher terrain of the Berkshires and northern Worcester Hills could see 1 to 3 inches of wet snow before temperatures rise enough for a changeover to rain.

Drivers in western and central Massachusetts should watch for slick spots early Wednesday evening, especially in elevated areas.
