Boston, Massachusetts – Mostly sunny conditions are expected across Boston today, with afternoon temperatures climbing slightly above seasonal averages and reaching the low to mid-40s.
According to the National Weather Service Boston office, northwest winds between 6 and 12 mph will accompany the sunshine, keeping conditions brisk but dry throughout the day. High temperatures across the city are forecast to peak around 42 to 45 degrees.
Colder air moves in tonight as skies turn mostly cloudy, allowing temperatures to fall sharply after sunset. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the mid to upper 20s in Boston, with lower 20s possible in higher elevations outside the city.
While no precipitation or weather hazards are forecast, the cold overnight temperatures may be noticeable for early-morning commuters and students heading out Friday.
This pattern reflects a brief return to winterlike conditions following a stretch of milder daytime weather across eastern Massachusetts.
