Boone County, IN – The Boone County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Thursday that a two-day Sex and Violent Offender Registry (SVOR) compliance sweep led to two arrests and multiple ongoing investigations. The operation, held Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28–29, 2025, involved coordinated checks with Indiana State Parole, Boone County Probation, and Boone County Community Corrections.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the goal was to ensure individuals registered under the SVOR program were in full compliance with their release conditions. Officers conducted home visits, verified residency, and reviewed documentation across Boone County, which currently has 85 registered offenders.

In total, 75 of those offenders were verified, two were arrested, and seven new investigations were opened. Electronics including trail cameras, gaming systems, SD cards, and laptops were seized from 12 homes as part of the operation.

One arrest involved Christopher LaGrange, 38, of Zionsville, who was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material. A second arrest involved Brian Jones, 54, of Lebanon, detained on a parole violation. Both cases remain under investigation, according to the Boone County Child Abuse and Sexual Exploitation (C.A.S.E.) Task Force.

Sheriff Tony Harris commended his team and partner agencies, emphasizing the department’s ongoing commitment to community safety. “Ensuring the safety of children is a top priority,” Harris said. “We continue to track these predators and use every resource necessary to hold them accountable.”

Assisting agencies included Indiana State Parole, Zionsville Police, and multiple county departments.
