Bomb Scare at Libertyville Bank Deemed Not Credible Thursday Morning

Libertyville, IL – The Libertyville Police Department responded to a bomb threat at BMO Harris Bank on Thursday, leading to the swift evacuation of the facility.

At 11:45 AM, a bomb threat was received via telephone at the BMO Harris Bank located at 354 N. Milwaukee Avenue. Bank staff promptly evacuated the building before the arrival of law enforcement. According to a press release from the Libertyville Police Department, officers conducted a thorough search of the premises and determined the threat to be not credible.

The bank resumed normal operations shortly after the police cleared the scene. Despite the threat being unfounded, the investigation remains active with the involvement of federal agencies. Authorities are working to trace the source of the call and ensure no further threats are posed to the community.
