Boise, ID – The National Weather Service in Boise reports that more rounds of precipitation are on the way for southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon through midweek, bringing a mix of rain and high-elevation snow as temperatures warm above seasonal averages.

According to the NWS, snow levels will rise sharply, keeping most of the Treasure Valley and lower elevations under rain, while higher elevations such as Banner Summit, Brundage Mountain, and Bogus Basin will see a rain/snow mix through Wednesday.

Forecast highs will range from the 40s to near 60°F across southern Idaho midweek, with lows in the upper 20s to 40s. The heaviest precipitation is expected Monday night through Wednesday, when rain chances reach 80–100% in mountain areas and 50–70% across the valleys.

The NWS cautions that while no flooding is expected, local creeks and streams may rise due to snowmelt and steady rainfall.

By late Thursday, temperatures will cool slightly, allowing precipitation to transition back to mostly snow in higher terrain.
