Boise, Idaho – Boise will hold onto warm, mostly sunny days through the weekend before a round of late Sunday showers and isolated thunderstorms introduces a shift in southwest Idaho’s weather pattern.

According to the National Weather Service in Boise, highs will reach the upper 70s Friday and climb into the low 80s Saturday and Sunday, with calm winds keeping conditions pleasant for outdoor events. Saturday looks to be the most favorable day, with sunshine dominating across Ada, Canyon, and Gem counties.

By Sunday afternoon, clouds increase with a 20 percent chance of storms developing in the Boise metro and surrounding valleys. That chance rises to 30 percent overnight, with showers spreading north toward Valley and Adams counties. Monday will bring cooler, clearer conditions, with highs near 71 before temperatures rebound into the upper 70s by midweek. Residents planning outdoor activities should keep backup plans for Sunday evening as scattered showers could linger into early Monday morning.
