Boise, ID – After a calm start to the week, unsettled weather will return to much of Idaho beginning late Monday and continuing through the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Boise.
Forecasters expect rain showers to develop late Monday into Tuesday, spreading across the Boise Valley and into the central mountains. A series of weather systems will follow, keeping conditions wet and occasionally windy through Friday.
High temperatures will stay mild for early November, with Boise and the Treasure Valley seeing highs in the low to mid-60s early in the week before dipping into the 50s by Thursday. Mountain areas such as McCall, Stanley, and Banner Summit will see highs in the 30s and 40s, with snow likely at higher elevations from Tuesday through Thursday.
Wednesday and Thursday are expected to bring the highest precipitation chances, with some mixed rain and snow possible in elevated communities. By the weekend, conditions may dry out briefly as temperatures stay cool but near normal.
Drivers traveling through mountain passes should prepare for slick roads and low visibility, especially midweek.
