Boise, ID – Idaho residents can expect a stretch of steady temperatures and mostly dry conditions heading into the weekend, according to new data shared Thursday morning by the National Weather Service Boise office. Forecasters say morning fog and low clouds will be possible each day as a weak inversion develops across the Treasure Valley and surrounding high terrain.
According to the latest forecast graphics, high temperatures will remain consistent from Thursday through Sunday, with Boise holding near 50 degrees and nearby cities such as Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, and Mountain Home following a similar trend. Higher elevations including Bogus Basin, Brundage Mountain, Banner Summit, Tamarack Ski, and Sun Valley Ski will see cooler highs in the 30s and low 40s.
Precipitation chances remain low through the weekend. Most locations across southwest Idaho and eastern Oregon show 5 to 15 percent chances of light rain or snow at times, mainly in the mountains. Banner Summit, Brundage Mountain, and Tamarack Ski hold the highest probabilities, especially late Sunday into early Monday.
Forecasters note that a more unsettled and significantly colder pattern is likely to return next week as the region heads toward the Thanksgiving holiday. Several locations in the mountains are projected to see highs drop into the 20s and low 30s by Tuesday and Wednesday, with some valley cities trending toward the mid-40s.
NWS Boise encourages residents to monitor updates as the holiday forecast becomes clearer.
