Boise, ID – Warmer-than-normal conditions continue today across Boise and the Treasure Valley, but a wet pattern is approaching quickly. Rain showers are expected to develop overnight near the Nevada border and move north into Boise by midday Sunday, according to the National Weather Service Boise office.
According to forecasters, temperatures today and Monday will remain slightly above seasonal averages, with highs in Boise ranging from the upper 40s to mid-50s and lows near the upper 30s. Clouds will thicken throughout the day as moisture builds into southwestern Idaho.
Light rain is expected to reach Boise and surrounding communities—including Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, and Eagle—late Sunday morning into the early afternoon. Probabilistic precipitation data from the NWS shows Boise has a high likelihood of measurable rainfall, with a 64% chance of seeing at least 0.01 inches between Saturday evening and Sunday evening.
The wet pattern continues into Monday as additional waves of moisture track through the region. Temperatures will stay mild one more day, with highs around the mid-50s in the Treasure Valley before a colder shift arrives. By Tuesday, cooler air returns, dropping highs into the 40s with a prolonged stretch of unsettled weather expected through the rest of next week.
Higher elevation locations such as Bogus Basin, Banner Summit, and McCall will see colder conditions and higher precipitation probabilities, though snowfall amounts remain light.
Residents across the Boise metro should prepare for damp roads, cooler afternoons beginning Tuesday, and periodic showers through the week as this active weather pattern settles in.
