Boise, ID – A Freeze Warning has been issued for parts of southwest Idaho and southeast Oregon overnight, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Boise.

The warning is in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. MDT (4 a.m. to 9 a.m. PDT) Tuesday and includes the Lower and Upper Treasure Valleys, the Western Magic Valley, and the Oregon Lower Treasure Valley. Cities impacted include Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Twin Falls, Ontario, and Nyssa.

Forecasters predict overnight lows between 28°F and 32°F, marking one of the coldest starts of the season for the region. The NWS warns that the freezing conditions could kill crops, damage sensitive vegetation, and harm unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Residents are advised to cover plants, disconnect hoses, and wrap exposed pipes before temperatures drop. Farmers and gardeners should take additional precautions to protect late-season crops from frost damage.

Temperatures are expected to rebound later Tuesday, with sunshine returning by afternoon and highs reaching the mid-50s across much of the Treasure Valley.
