Arlington, TN – A body was discovered Thursday afternoon in a cornfield near the 4000 block of Airline Road in Arlington, not far from where a missing man was last seen.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the body was located at approximately 1:45 p.m. on June 12. The discovery follows a multi-day search effort after 43-year-old Jonathan (Scott) Roach was reported missing on June 7. Roach had been last seen in the area, prompting a search that included volunteers, search and rescue units, and various emergency services.
Shelby County Fire paramedics pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. Authorities are working to identify the body, which has been taken to the Shelby County Medical Examiner for further examination.
This remains an active investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
