Louisville, KY – A cold front has moved through Kentucky, ushering in cooler and drier fall air for the start of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.

Forecasters say overnight lows will dip into the upper 30s to low 40s Sunday night into Monday morning, with daytime highs ranging from 65°F to 70°F under clear, sunny skies. The pattern of cool nights and mild afternoons will continue through midweek, with Tuesday and Wednesday lows in the 40s and highs holding in the upper 60s.

The clear, dry stretch will provide ideal fall weather across central and southern Kentucky, following a stretch of unsettled conditions earlier this month. No significant rain is forecast through at least Wednesday, allowing residents to enjoy outdoor events, leaf-peeping, and evening walks.

According to meteorologists, the region is now entering a classic mid-October cool period, typical for this time of year.
