Louisville, KY – After a damp start to the week, Kentucky residents can look forward to clearer skies and drier air as sunny weather settles in midweek. According to the National Weather Service Louisville, clouds will clear from north to south today, with breezy conditions expected through Thursday.

Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to upper 70s on Wednesday, cooling slightly Thursday with highs in the low 70s. Skies will remain mostly sunny, offering a welcome break from Tuesday’s soggy weather.

However, forecasters say a notable cooldown is on the way. By Friday morning, temperatures could drop to the upper 30s and low 40s, marking some of the coolest readings of the fall season so far. Daytime highs will rebound into the upper 60s and mid-70s by afternoon.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for chilly mornings late this week, especially in low-lying or rural areas where temperatures may dip even lower.
